Viking Identities Networks

Viking Identities Networks

VIN engages experienced academics in a range of disciplines, postgraduate students, heritage professionals and the general public in a range of fora. Academic seminars and conference sessions explore the themes of ‘Myth and Memory’, ‘Gender and Material Culture’, ‘Vikings in the 21st Century’ and ‘Gender and Language’. The annual Midlands Viking Symposium presents current research to a predominantly non-academic audience. Members of the Network also represent it at a range of international academic conferences, and collaborate with heritage bodies such as the York Archaeological Trust.
